FAQ

Can I purchase R.E.S.T. protection plan anywhere I want?

R.E.S.T. extended warranty protection is available at your local authorized Rotax aircraft engines distributor and through their service network.*

Can I transfer R.E.S.T. protection to a new owner?

You can transfer the R.E.S.T. protection along with the engine to a new owner within the same territory. When you buy R.E.S.T. protection for a specific region, we link the warranty extension to your engine’s serial number.

Can I purchase extended warranty protection for my aircraft?

The R.E.S.T. program is available for Rotax aircraft engines only. To learn about warranty options for aircraft engines, not Rotax, please get in touch with your aircraft O.E.M.

Can I upgrade to R.E.S.T. extended protection plan anytime?

We recommend upgrading your warranty coverage to R.E.S.T. when you purchase your engine. That said, you can upgrade to R.E.S.T. at any given time within the manufacturer’s limited warranty period of your Rotax aircraft engine. After the limited warranty has run out, R.E.S.T. requires an engine inspection by an authorized Rotax Distributor and a favorable inspection report.

Why is the R.E.S.T. program the right choice for my Rotax aircraft engine?

Nobody knows your engine better than iRMT trained Rotax maintenance technicians. Furthermore, they exclusively use genuine Rotax parts for your maintenance and repairs. You can’t find a better option to keep your engine in top condition.

How do I protect my warranty coverage?

  • Register your engine
  • Maintain a complete service book or service documentation
  • Use genuine spare parts, lubricants, and oils only.
