Oshkosh, U.S.A., July 31st, 2018 – The eye-catching One Week Wonder project, where a complete plane was built from start to finish within seven days, returned to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Wis-consin, U.S.A., the world’s largest annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts, after 2014 and counted – according to first indications – more than 2.500 participants.
The Rotax Flying and Safety Club (RFSC) and BRP-Rotax network are offering information sessions conducted by experienced RFSC instructors during the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 in Wisconsin, U.S.A., the world’s largest annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts.
Who would have thought that in less than 8 years, an engine revolution will take place at Rotax. For decades, hardly anything happened on the engine sector, but then it went straightaway. The result, the Rotax 915 iS.
The eagerly anticipated Sling TSi test article recently made its public debut in South Africa and will be unveiledat the upcoming EAA Airventure at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA in July 2018.
The Sling TSi, like its predecessors, has reeived criticacl acclaim for its capabilities, effortless handling andall-round functionality. The name ‘TSi’ is a homage to its Rotax 915 iS engine and marks a new chapter in TAF’svision to build the world’s most loved light aircraft.
Yesterday evening at the AERO Friedrichshafen, the largest trade show for general aviation in Europe, BRP-Rotax aircraft engines have been awarded best powertrain by ‘aerokurier’, the German aviation magazine.
BRP-Rotax’s Distributor of the Year Awards are annually given to its top distributors. The annual award recognizes the exceptional performance of its three best aircraft distributors. Congratulations to:

BRP-Rotax’ latest aircraft engine development, the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine was awarded with the German aviation magazine aerokurier’s Innovation Award “powertrain of the future” during the AERO Friedrichshafen, the largest trade show for general aviation in Europe.
BRP-Rotax informed about the latest development steps on the Rotax 915 iS, a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder turbocharged aircraft engine with intercooler and redundant fuel injection system during the press conference at the AERO Friedrichshafen, the largest trade show for general aviation in Europe.
According to tradition, there will be Rotax Familiarization Training sessions at the AERO 2017 in Friedrichshafen.

BRP donated a Rotax 912 iS Sport engine to Madiba Bay School of Flight, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa, the flight school that achieved the first time between overhauls (TBO) of 2,000 hours on their Sling 2equipped with a Rotax 912 iS engine.
