DOA/POA

DOA/POA CERTIFICATES

The Rotax aircraft engine business meets the Design and Production certification standards of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Production Organisation Approval (POA) are valid for all types of certified ROTAX aircraft engines.

ISO

ISO CERTIFICATES

Rotax is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, which confirms the application and further development of an effective Quality Management System. Furthermore, Rotax is committed to being environmentally conscious and therefore also ISO 14001:2015 certified.

EASA

EASA TYPE CERTIFICATES

Rotax holds various EASA Type Certificates (TC). These type certificates allow Rotax to produce certified aircraft engines for specific airplane categories and make changes and repairs on certified ROTAX aircraft engines.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) promotes the highest safety and environmental protection standards in civil aviation in Europe and worldwide.

ASTM

ASTM COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

ASTM International (formerly known as the “American Society for Testing and Materials”) is an international standard organization that develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services. All Rotax 4-stroke aircraft engines and the 2-stroke Rotax 582 UL comply with the ASTM F2339 standard published as “Standard Practice for Design and Manufacture of Reciprocating Spark Ignition Engines for Light-Sport Aircraft.”

Validation

TYPE CERTIFICATION/VALIDATION

Rotax has validated EASA Engine Type Certificates in several countries which allows the direct installation and usage in aircrafts of nations outside the EASA member states. These so-called Validation Type Certificates (VTC) and Acceptance Letters are listed in the following table.
